how we work

Initial Consultation

At CaptureHits, we recognize that each business is different and that one-size-fits-all marketing strategies won’t do justice to your marketing efforts. That’s why we take the time to meet with you personally, by telephone for approximately 1 hour.

During this meeting, we will ask you a number of questions to gain a better understanding about your business, your goals and objectives. Some common questions are:

    1. What does your company do/make/sell?
    2. How long have you been in business?
    3. Describe your history—how did you start the business or begin running the business?
    4. What is your position in the company, and where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?
    5. How many people are in your business, and what kinds of work do they do for your business? What strong skills can each of them bring to your business to assist you in marketing? (e.g. “Betty Sue is great with ACT. She could help us set up a database so that we can use it for our prospecting and direct mailing campaigns.”)
    6. Describe the customers to which you sell your products or services.
    7. Describe your customer service policy or plan of action.
    8. Describe your sales process from the initial contact through post-sales support.
    9. Tell us about your competitors. How do your services/products compare?
    10. What value do you bring to your customers that your competition can’t or doesn’t? (e.g. Why do you think someone would do business with you and not your competition?)
    11. If we were to survey your top 20 customers, what would kind of testimonial would they provide? Why do you think they choose to purchase products/services from you?
    12. What is your reputation in your industry, or is it non-existent?
    13. What kind of relationship do you have with vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, etc.? Do they supply leads/referrals, advertising opportunities, networking options, etc.?
    14. What kinds of advertising, promotion or marketing have you tried in the past? What’s worked and what hasn’t, and why?
    15. How do you currently find your sales leads? (e.g. Purchase them, referrals only, advertising, etc.)
    16. How do you think you customers find you? (e.g. website, advertising, referrals, etc.)
    17. What do you hope to accomplish by hiring a marketing professional?
    18. How much time can you allocate to working on your marketing development and implementation?
    19. How comfortable are you working with technology or technology based solutions? (e.g. email, the Internet, etc.)
    20. What are your short-term and long-term marketing goals?
    21. What areas do you think would best benefit from additional marketing (e.g. a particular product line; a specific website; a specific program)?
    22. How quickly do you want to reach your marketing goals/objectives?
    23. What are you willing or able to pay to reach your marketing objectives?

Solution Development

After our initial meeting with you, we present your marketing objectives to our internal solution development team. The solution development team consists of individuals with experience in business development and management; marketing communications; Internet marketing and visibility; branding recognition and customer retention strategy.

Your marketing objectives/goals and other information you provided during the initial consultation will be presented to the solution development team so that they can brainstorm and develop a solution unique to your marketing objectives.

Cost Analysis

We want you to get the benefit of our services regardless of your available budget. And, that’s why we want to understand how your business works so that we can refine our suggested marketing solution until it is applicable to your unique situation.

Our pricing structure is based upon a variety of factors such as, but not limited to:

    1. your budget,
    2. your goals/objectives,
    3. the products/services you offer,
    4. the competitiveness of your market or industry,
    5. the audience you want to target to sell your products/services,
    6. your ability or willingness to actively participate in the marketing process,
    7. the size of the scope of work or projects to be completed,
    8. how difficult it will be to meet marketing objectives,
    9. how long it will take us to complete the objectives.

Proposal Creation

When the strategy development team has completed its analysis of your marketing solution a custom proposal is created and submitted to you by email for review. The proposal outlines the various elements of the marketing program which will be provided to you over the course of several weeks, months or years along with the cost to provide our services.

The length of the marketing program will depend largely upon your budget, your objectives; your ability or willingness to implement the strategies; the complexity of the services we offer to provide; and the difficulty to meet the marketing objectives.

The Follow-Up Call

Approximately 1-2 days after we have submitted the proposal to you, we will contact you to answer any questions you may have about it. We may also discuss with you other resources which are available to you that can assist you in marketing your products/services.

Commencing Work

If you have read the proposal and are ready to get started, we simply need you to sign the proposal, add your billing information and then fax the signed proposal to back to us.

Once we receive the signed proposal and your initial deposit, we will contact you, typically by email, to acknowledge its receipt and to set up a estimated delivery schedule for the services we agree to provide in the proposal. Then, once we have established an estimated delivery schedule, we begin our work.

Our Role

We are frequently asked about the role we will play in your business when you hire us to perform our services. The answer is fairly simple. Our role in your business is to assist your company to gain more exposure through our marketing consultation and other related services. (We define marketing as helping you find and attract people who want or need your products/services/offerings.) Our job, then, is to position your products/services/offerings to your ideal audience so that they will ultimately contact you.

Because we are involved with the processes which lead up to a prospect (or potential customer) contacting you, we focus our efforts on providing you with the best opportunities that will most likely result in people who are interested in your products/servcies contacting you. We want you to maximize your marketing which is why we choose not to participate in your sales process, since no one can sell your products/services better than you.

From the time a prospect (people who contact you as a result of our marketing efforts) makes contact, you are responsible for follow-up with him/her and to provide pre/post-sales support, close sales, ship orders or perform services which you offer, and generate income or profits.

While we act as an extension of your company, and from time to time may act as a sounding board for you, we aren't employees, shareholders, owners or decision-makers in your company. Your company operates independently from ours and as such, you are responsible for any decisions you make about your business or organization as well as the outcome of your decisions.
